Data and Access Information
CMP partnering agencies are committed to providing the highest quality data. Each year, the monitoring process is reviewed and, if necessary, revised in order to maintain high quality data. The review includes sampling methods, analytical methods, detection technology, and regulatory and laboratory standards. The SRCSD Environmental Laboratory is the primary laboratory used to analyze the water samples.
The CMP monitoring data undergoes a rigorous data review process. An automated data processing software is used to compare the laboratory electronic data to the CMP requirements and determines whether or not the data are consistent with CMP and test method requirements. This ensures that the data are consistent and compliant with CMP standards before it is reported to regulatory agencies and the public.
Once the laboratory data from each sampling event has been validated, they are added to the CMP database. Numerous field are included in the database to define location, sampling date, individual parameters, values, units, and various quality assurance and quality control elements.
