New District Engineer Appointed

The Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District (SRCSD) Board of Directors appointed Stan Dean as the new District Engineer, effective June 20, 2010. Dean replaces Mary Snyder, who recently retired. He now oversees the work of the District, which provides wastewater conveyance and treatment services to more than 1.3 million residents in the Sacramento region.

Stan began working with the Sanitation Districts in 1993. He was promoted in 1995 to oversee the Engineering Section at Wastewater Treatment Plant. He was appointed Plant Manager in November 1997, and in 2005 he became the SRCSD Division Chief in charge of operations, maintenance, engineering, administration, construction programs and laboratory services for all SRCSD treatment and conveyance facilities. He became Director of Policy and Planning for both SRCSD and SASD in 2008, where he oversaw long-range planning, regulatory and legislative affairs, wastewater source control and high level policy development for the Districts.
